Problem:

In a rapidly evolving digital world where cryptocurrency, NFTs, DeFi, and Web3 technologies are becoming increasingly popular, many users still face significant challenges in accessing and managing their digital assets. Existing crypto wallets often have complex interfaces, lack intuitive design, and some even lack advanced features like staking. This complexity creates barriers to managing your assets efficiently and securely.

Goal:

To develop a mobile crypto wallet that will provide users with simple and intuitive access to their assets, combining a user-friendly interface with advanced security features. The wallet will easily integrate with DeFi platforms, NFTs, and other Web3 applications, ensuring efficient management of their assets.

Research:

In the initial stages of developing a crypto wallet, I faced a number of challenges, starting with a basic concept, stashing a set of functional requirements. My main goal was to turn these ideas into a technically sound plan, test hypotheses and formulate a further action plan, carefully considering risks, technical feasibility and user needs.

To better understand the market and the target audience, I conducted a series of research and interviews aimed at identifying needs, competitor analysis, problems and expectations of potential users. Here are some key takeaways I made after finishing:

  1. My research showed that users are very focused on the security and reliability of their assets, so additional security features were added to the wallet, such as: Seed phrase, two-step verification, face ID and biometric scan

  1. Competitor research showed that since we are moving towards simplicity and ease of use, with an emphasis on multi-currency, DeFi application integration, with the ability to stake, add NFTs and Web3 integration. The best crypto wallet options for me were Coinbase Wallet, Exodus and Trust Wallet, which I relied on throughout the development, trying to improve and optimize the entire wallet as much as possible

  1. Newcomers often mention the inconvenience of using complex interfaces inside the wallet, so for greater convenience I grouped the elements into a logical structure, so as not to overload users with content.

App Architecture:

After the exploration phase, I moved on to designing the architecture of the app itself to understand all the scenarios and integrate them into the full app.
